Yanese is the co-founding partner of Pennam Partners. In addition to Pennam Partners, Yanese is a director of Machel Advisory Services, a boutique tax advisory practice. Yanese has numerous years of experience in corporate transactional matters having worked for a top 10 accounting firm. During that time, Yanese was involved in providing advisory services to a range of listed (including ING Office Fund, ING Real Estate Healthcare Fund and ING Real Estate Entertainment Fund) and large unlisted entities on their complex structures and related tax issues. Predominantly, Yanese has serviced the REIT, funds management, corporate and superannuation space with focus on both inbound and outbound investments.
In addition, Yanese has assisted clients with capital raising and investment acquisition including lead managing capital injection assignments, structuring the most appropriate capital instruments, tax expert reports, due diligence, perusal and making recommendations in relation to sale purchase agreements and heads of agreements, tax forecast modelling and provision of tax warranties.
Yanese has a proactive involvement in the tax field having participated in several consultative processes with the Australian Tax Office and Treasury on key tax issues and amendments, for instance the simplification of superannuation regime, Division 250 reform and the repeal of the FIF regime.
Yanese was a sessional teaching associate for the Business Law and Taxation Department of Monash University and assisted in the delivery of a tax law unit for the Master of Business, Master of Professional Accounting and Master of Business Law respectively.
Yanese graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting amp; Finance) and Bachelor of Business (Honours) and holds a Master of Business Law. Yanese is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and an Associate of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
